Used cell phones can benefit U.S. soldiers in Iraq Used cell phones can benefit U.S. soldiers in Iraq
A used cell phone can help our soldiers overseas. A tax service center in Pueblo is collecting used cell phones to show their support for american soldiers in Iraq.
The phones are recycled, and the money is used to buy calling cards for our service men and women. Franchise Owner David Nenno said, "It was actually the idea of a 13 year old girl and her 12 year old brother in Massachusetts. They came up with the idea and then started trying to get corporate help to start collecting the phones and Liberty Tax got involved so they can be the collection site. Then we'll send them to the corporate office and they'll and they're working with the people that are going to recycle the phones and distribute the cards."
If anyone is interested in helping U.S. soldiers in the middle east receive calling cards, you can donate your phone during business hours at any Liberty Tax Service Facility.
