DALLAS -- The Dallas Police Department is on the hunt for a suspect in the murders at an Oak Cliff beauty salon.
Customers who came to get a haircut Saturday were shocked when they saw a makeshift memorial instead of the owner of Chely's beauty salon, NBC 5 News reported.
"She touched a lot of people," said Joe Tellez, a customer.
The owner, Araceli Urtes, 39, and an employee, Juanita Colunga (pictured), 54, who was also Chely's sister-in-law, were both stabbed to death in Friday night's robbery.
A customer in the salon, Carmen Luna, 35, was also stabbed in the salon. Most of her family is still in Mexico.
Luna survived and was able to call for help. She was taken to Methodist hospital in critical condition, NBC 5 News reported.
Those who knew Chely best said she was an excellent business woman, which could have hurt her in the end.
"She'd sold jewelry, boots, watches, perfume, calling cards -- stuff like that," said Tellez.
"A lot of money would have been floating around. Anyone who came in knew that," said one customer.
The suspect is described as a Latino man, 5-feet-5-inches tall, with a chubby build.
Schepp's Dairy is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
